On May 3, 1999 parts of Oklahoma and Kansas got hit by terrible tornados.
My national program was on two stations in the Oklahoma City area KNOR and KOKC...and on a powerful station KNSS in Wichita, Kansas.
We started to get calls from the hard hit areas and basically we went into the “public service” vain and tried to get information from callers that could aid in the aftermath.
It is one of my proudest moments in radio.
We have the show for you now...thanks to the Rogers.org guys...so you can hear it for the first time since the original broadcast back in 1999.
