     So the Washington Redskins may have to change their name.  

        I have a suggestion.

To honor the late Joe (I see Commies behind every bush) McCarthy...just shorten it to “Reds”! 

The Washington Reds.  Has a certain flair doesn’t it?

I’m just joking folks...and away we go.....

In Illinois in the 50’ and 60’s (at least) we used to be able to go to two drive-in curb service places and they both had terrific food.

One, of course, was my all time favorite...still going strong today (but no curb service)...Steak & Shake.  See my earlier posts on that.

The other was “Dog & Suds” and it was great.  They had a sloppy joe that could not be beat and they put the same sloppy joe stuff on their fabulous hot dogs which they were famous for.  One curb service gal actually had a problem getting the tray of food on my window properly and ended up dumping the food on me in the car.  Still..I loved Dog n Suds!

I put a note on their guest book that they should come down to Florida...Orlando near Disney...Tampa Bay near the beaches along with Daytona and the panhandle...and of course Ft. Lauderdale.

A Princess shops in Cannes

Shopping in Cannes

    ....The Princess stiffing the London Hotel for a 7 million dollar bill reminded me of a couple of things in my past.
    My wife and I were shopping on that lovely street behind the fancy beach front hotels in Cannes, France.
    We were in a nice shop looking around and suddenly the store manager moved toward the shoppers and requested the we all leave.
    As were were stunned by this we stood outside to see what was going on and a lovely young girl with a huge entourage of about twenty followers entered the shop and basically took over the place with some not to friendly security types watching by the door to make sure all was well.
    The word then spread that the girl was a Saudi Princess and  the shops along this street were used to kicking the normal folks out and turning their shop over to the “royals”.
    Who could blame them...one could only guess how much money was made with those brief visits!

    On hotels...we stayed at a new hotel at a new resort in the Dominican Republic and enjoyed a nice dinner with wine and dessert.  I proceeded to request our bill and we waited...and waited ...and waited. 
I spoke to the maitre d’ but still we couldn’t find our waiter nor get the bill.
    Finally I said to my wife “I know one sure way to get the bill. Let’s get up and slowly walk out.  They will show up fast!”
    We did...but believe it or not...nobody paid the slightest attention.
    We went to our room...and joked about the situation and we are still waiting to this day for that dinner check!

....I’m going to have to be very careful in writing this post.
    It has to do with the CIA and the changes recently announced...and possible changes not announced.
    So the Wolf takes the fall for the torture crap that saved lives around the world.
    This is Obama’s decision.
    Obama is a simple man ...actually a stupid man.  He is by far in my opinion the worst President in my history...starting with FDR and Truman. But he is smart enough to start distancing himself from the post 9-11 action.  He worries it will end up in papers and books lining the shelves in his eventual Presidential Library. It will be part of his history.
    The firing of the Wolf is no surprise from someone as dense as Obama.
    But I still wonder about “Maya”  (girl in the movie Zero Dark 30) who stalked and caught bin Laden.
    I’ve ask the question in post after post...is she still at CIA.  Is she hunting Isis just as she went after bin Laden ordered to by the Wolf to go full throttle into the maze of the middleast mess.
    Or did this “Maya” quit the Agency in a huff after some un-friends were “honored” by that Agency for the bin Laden victory.  Rumor was she was really pissed about that charging that some of those “honored” actually stood in the way of that crowning achievement.
    Since no one has come up with any kind of answer to the simple question “is she still there?” one is lead to believe she is.
    However if Obama in his “holier than those guys” guise ordered her canned along with the Wolf...it should eventually come out despite all the laws about keeping secrets the CIA could lay on her.
     so...if the two people the Wolf and Maya responsible for the single greatest spy/military victory since Normandy have gotten the heave ho they should not fret about Obama doing it.  After all...his policies have been so successful....immigration....healthcare...Iran...Isis etc,  I need not go on.
    Yep..Mr. President....stupid is as stupid does.
Forget the Isis threat.

I just hope and pray we can survive Obama before his term ends.

Marlins baseball fans screwed by Fox Sports again and again and again!!!

    5 days to opening the 2015 baseball season and NO games on tv!
    
....Count the days with NO Marlins coverage!  Fox sports does it again and again and again. 
    April 1, 2, 3, 4,  & 5...NO TV COVERAGE FOR MARLINES BASEBALL FANS!
    April 6th is opening day...(Fox probably wouldn’t even  televise that if they could get away with it! They’d put some really exciting “poker games” (ugh) on or how about used up NASCAR drivers...and then there’s my real big favorite...no baseball...but lots of rodeo crap.
    How long do we have to put up with this small time crap from Fox’s Sport (unsport) Florida?
    Oh...and we clobbered the Washington Nationals today...but couldn’t see it happen!

    ....Very early in my years...while still in Paris, Illinois (USA) we used to love to go to an old type soda fountain place up on the square in downtown Paris. We called it “Papa’s” as we could neither say or spell the guys name. He’s claim to fame was a chilly dog that had the most fantastic “sloppy joe” sauce you have ever tasted.
    Then with it he’d conger up some coke and mix just a bit of cherry in it.  Wow...heaven!
    DO YOU KNOW OR CAN YOU GUESS HOW LONG IT TOOK COKE AND DR. PEPPER TO MAKE THEIR OWN VERSION!
    Anyway...Dr. Pepper is best.  Enjoy!
