A real Iranian Beauty

See Charlie Barnett...the "Noogie" from Miami Vice downfall and death on click below post!

                                                                                                                                 repost
...I love it when this kind of thing happens,

In my favorite Dollar Tree picking up some stuff and the very lovely middle eastern woman came out of one aisle and said something to one of the two very young girls with her.  I smiled and said “ok” which got a laugh from her.
...she hit the checkout just after me so I opened the door to let her and the two girls out and she thanked me.
then...I said...”are you Iranian?’
She said “what?"
“Are you from Iran?”
“Yes...I’m from Iran!” kind of surprised.
I responded,
“just a good guess on my part.”
and we each went our merry way.
She could have passed for the Shah’s new wife...or daughter.
the two girls...probably under ten...were very well behaved...which is something in a dollar store where candy and other goodies is most plentiful!
My guess is some Iranian discipline there...maybe the threat to chop off their heads if they misbehave do you think?
sorry...that’s awful
-------------------------
Here’s a new one on me.
Guy in the big SUV pulled up at the stoplight...signs on the side:
“Evictions fast!”
okay...I guess it’s a way to make a living but...ugh!
Now...I’m waiting for the repo tow truck...
“Repos fast!”
or how about
“Abortions fast!”
sorry again...awaful taste today.

THE "NOOGMAN" ON MIAMI VICE WAS HOT! Here's a just discovered interview from 88

MIAMI VICE...Noogie & Izzy

                                        __________________________

Back in the late 80’s when the red hot tv show “Miami Vice” was filming here...I had Charlie Barnett in the studio with me for an hour. Charlie played a wild character “Noogie” or the “Noog Man” and he played him to the hilt!  He almost stole the show from Don Johnson and the others when he was on camera.  He was a fine comedic talent and would later suffer the consequences of his short lived fame but that’s a story for another time.
I found a cassette tape of that show....stored away in old cigar boxes along with other tapes...and John & Michael of Neil Rogers.org worked hard getting it set up on u-tube for us.  So...for the first time since it aired with me....enjoy the unforgettable “Noogie.”

SEE 40 of the hottest bodies in history! yummy

BREAKING NEWS.....
SAUDI KING ABUDULLAH HAS DIED AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 90.
TO BE FRANK...I DON'T CARE...AND NEITHER DO THE SO CALLED CABLE "NEWS" CHANNELS APPARENTLY AS THE BBC AND THEN A LITTLE LATER CNN AIRED THE STORY.   IT STILL HASN'T MADE IT ON FOX...AS O'REILLY MUST BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN BREAKING NEWS!  MSNBC FINALLY HIT THE AIR WITH IT....VERY LATE.  SO AGAIN...CNN PROVES IT'S WORTH.  THAT'S WHY WE STILL TURN TO THEM FIRST WHEN NEWS IS HAPPENING.

Brooke Burke

Why do we have to keep hearing about Brady’s balls anyway? If it worked for him...WHY DIDN’T IT WORK FOR HOT SHOT “LUCK”on the other side?
                                       ______________

Jump (part 2)

Jump...Part 2...from Hal:

When I made my first glide ride off the 250' tower, it as like nothing I'd
ever experienced before. The ground didn't come rushing up, but there was a sense of falling without any panic. I managed not to hurt myself (too much) and did a slightly gimpy double time back to the stand down line.
That same Black Hat came over to me and asked what I'd tell that Major now if he managed to sneak up on me again. I told him I'd report that the "view was great until the last ten feet of the (tethered) drop.
Before turning away from me, the Instructor asked what I felt. I remarked
something about being somewhere between nervous and scared. When he asked if it was the height that bothered me, I admitted it was. He then asked me how tall I was and I replied 5'10".  With a mischievous look in his eyes he told me, "Well, Hell, soldier, the ground was at least 5 and a half feet closer than it looked to your eyes." I failed to find much comfort in that.
Week three hit with a vengeance. We started our qualification jumps. The
weather was good, winds were light and there were no excuses. We jumped.
The very first jump taught me a lot. As is with most paratroop jumps this was done on a static line. I found myself in the first stick of jumpers, about the 5th or 6th jumper from the door.
The command was given by the Jumpmaster to stand up, hook up and check the rigging of the man in front of and behind you. We were then told to stand in the door. No one was hardly settled when the green light came on and we started out the door. If I had wanted to stop, I couldn't have. The momentum of the moving line keep us going.
We landed, mostly intact, suffering only a few bruises and abrasions. Everyone gathered up their chute and headed to the other end of the LZ for our next jump.
I had a few moments to watch the plane as it circled back to allow another stick to step out on "God's Turf".
I immediately noticed a big difference between the 250' training tower and a 1200 or so foot actual jump. The height wasn't as noticeable, especially with my eyes closed. When I remembered the constant warning to open my eyes and did so, the sensation of falling wasn't that apparent until the last 75 to 100 feet of the fall. It was more like a floating sensation with a lot of things to do to land safely.
The other 3 day jumps went similarly well. The night jump was a different
beast.
There ain't a whole lot of light up there. You have some glow or reflected
light from ground sources, but the ground can make a sudden, bone jarring
appearance.
I made it though all of that without any broken bones or any other major
physical damage.
As I said earlier, Jump School taught me a lot. The natural fear of jumping
was overcome by learning to be in the middle of the stick. First man in line to jump can balk and really foul up things from delaying the jump or making other troopers nervous. If you're last in line and hesitant, you might start looking at the Jumpmaster at the door and think you can take him and stay on the plane.
(I know guys who will tell you, "Ain't gonna happen.".) If you're in the middle of the stick and the line starts moving to the door, it's like being on a
conveyor belt. You going where the belt is going and you can't just stop. If you try to stop, the guys behind you will push you out into the 360 degree view.
As I think back on it all, including all the jumps I made after Jump School to
keep my Jump Pay coming in, I wonder! did I prove that only 2 things fall from the sky...bird crap and idiots?

So says our friend...Hal.  Thanks again.

Hal's first JUMP at Ft. Benning (ugh!)

So says our friend Hal:

Like anyone else who has gone through Jump School at Ft. Benning, Ga, my first jump was a daytime training jump in the third week. (We all had to do 4 daytime & 1 night jumps to get our jump wings.)
Ground week, the first week, we learned how to fall and land without breaking our neck and other body parts. This was done, as the name indicates, on the ground. We ran, we tried to push away Georgia (push ups for the uninitiated) and lengthened our arms doing what seemed like 6 million pull ups. We also had classroom time.
The second week, tower week, was a different kind of "fun".
This was the week that a lot of guys figured out that height was not something everyone handled well.  Oddballs like me, who found ladders to be a natural fear based laxative, had no problems with the height coming out and off of the swing training towers (34' high). This training allowed us the practical experience of keeping each corresponding foot and ankle together and how to roll at the end of the PLF (parachute landing fall) to reduce injury potential.
The 250' towers were something else. You don't climb those towers. To oversimplify things, it's almost like a carnival ride because you're strapped into a harness that lifts you backward to the tower arms.
As we were looking at the towers up close to their bases that first week, I recall looking up and muttering "shit...".
I immediately heard a voice behind me
"That's a common word heard several times a day here." I quickly turned around and was face to face with a Major. Coming to attention and giving up my half of a salute, the Major offered up his half of the salute and ordered "as you were".
He asked me if I was scared and I gave him an honest, "Yes, sir.".
One of the "Black Hats" (instructors) came running over asked if there was a problem. The Major dismissed him saying he had started the conversation. Giving me a quick glance that read out in capital letters as "Boy, don't "eff" this up !", the Black Hat turned and double timed away.
The Major asked how afraid I was and I told him "Not enough to quit.".
He clapped me on the shoulder, said "Good Man." and left after salutes.
The Black Hat motioned me to double time to where he was and, shall we say, suggested I tell him about the conversation I had with the Major.
I told him word for word and he laughingly told me I was not in trouble, this time, but to be more aware of my surroundings and not let there be another opportunity for anymore of those "chummy little
chats" with officers.

Can Sandra be any "hotter"...and the Windy any more beautiful?

The Lake House...re-visited

I like this movie primarily for two reasons...
Sandra Bullock and Chicago!
Otherwise...it’s just an interesting story...better than the usual Hollywood crap and the plot is not to be taken that seriously.  It’s just a movie...don’t try to analyze it...just enjoy it.
If you do care about the why’s and wherefore’s go to the IMDB message board and play the game of trying to figure out what the hell is going on there.     There is one person on the message board who claims to have all the answers....but I can’t confirm that as I’m not that interested.
I did want to see the later part again to see if Wyler’s “un-death” at Daley Plaza could cause a “paradox” but since neither Kate (Sandra) or Wyler have kids...nothing seems to have been earth shaking from the change in history.
Again...Sandra is so hot in this film without even trying and my letterbox version with my favorite scenes of the Windy make it worth my time.
I’ll leave the rest to you.
Enjoy.
Oh...there is a scene set on a softball field in a park with the Chicago skyline VERY visible and beautiful.  I played a game there once...with the NBC guys from channel 5....so that certainly got my attention.  The whole flick is beautifully filmed...much better than car crashes and gun shots which are usually the main feature in any movie filmed in Chicago.
